1805-1881 British Samuel Palmer Galleries English painter, draughtsman and etcher. Palmer was a key figure of English Romantic painting who represented, at least in his early work, its pastoral, intuitive and nostalgic aspects at their most intense. He is widely described as a visionary and linked with his friend and mentor William Blake, though he stood at an almost opposite extreme in his commitment to landscape and his innocent approach to its imagery. Pieter Neefs
(also Neefs; 23 May 1620-after 1675) was a Flemish Baroque painter who specialized in architectural interiors of churches.Born and active in Antwerp, he was trained by his father, Pieter Neeffs I.Their works, in fact, are very similar and attributions of their individual hands can be difficult. His brother Ludovicus Neefs has also made similar paintings.
Karl Ferdinand Wimar
(also known as Charles Wimar and Carl Wimar) (1828-1862), was a German-American painter who concentrated on Native Americans in the West and the great herds of buffalo. He is known for an early painting of a colonial incident: his The Abduction of Boone's Daughter by the Indians (1855-1856), a depiction of the 1776 capture near Boonesborough, Kentucky of Jemima Boone and two other girls by a Cherokee-Shawnee raiding party.
